So much of what we do revolves around the cost associated with that activity. Regardless of whether it is going out to eat dinner, choosing which activities for children to participate in, or what type of entertainment we will partake in this weekend – cost has a huge impact on the decisions of how we spend our time and our money. Medical procedures are really no different. Many times we evaluate procedures we desire to have done by doing an analysis based on what we feel the return on our investment (both time and money) will be.
While I agree that cost is always an important factor when considering a procedure such as laser eye surgery, cost should be one of the least weighted factors in your decision. Laser eye surgery cost can vary from surgeon to surgeon, but one must keep in mind that simply because a particular laser eye surgeon is less expensive this cost difference does not equate to a better job. Many of the laser eye practices in the greater Dallas area provide discounts and financing plans, and I would argue that the price spread between laser eye surgery practices is not enormous. Therefore, when making your decision regarding which laser eye surgeon to use you should evaluate laser eye surgery cost and the reputation of the practice. By evaluating these two factors you can get a good feel for what this procedure will cost you and additionally you should be able to identify the capability of the surgeon you are considering.
In what I like to call the discovery phase, the potential laser eye surgery client spends time contacting other individuals that have had laser eye surgery performed by the practice they are considering using. Additionally, you can ask the practice for references, people you can contact to discuss the quality of the work that they have had done (not only the laser surgeon but also their staff). The next fact-finding tool I would use is the Internet. By putting in some fairly simple queries you should be able to identify if other people are happy or unhappy with the laser eye surgery practices in your area.
I cannot stress enough the need for you to be proactive in evaluating your options when it comes to laser eye surgery. As stated before laser eye surgery cost is one factor, but not the primary factor by which I would decide which laser eye surgeon to use.

For those of you that have spent any time stopping by, or reading the contents of this stie, it should be apparent that the intent of my posts is to provide useful information on the different options you have for LASIK surgery in Dallas . One of the reasons that I determined this site was needed is that it is always nice to have the opinion of a disinterested third party regarding the services one can find in their area. I also realized that not everyone has the time to go out on the web and dig around for information on LASIK surgeons in Dallas. I hope this resource is helpful to that end. If there are ways that I can improve the content of this site, please leave a comment and let me know.
There are many LASIK surgeons Dallas, and I have written about several of them. When conducting my research, I spend time on the web seeing what types of information the Dallas LASIK surgeon’s website has to say about the services they provide, and then I also spend some time looking at what types of customer reviews are provided on the Internet. I am surprised that I have not been able to find more comments than I have on those that perform LASIK eye surgery Dallas, but it appears that the majority of the feedback is positive. A few of the practices I have written about are Kleinman-Evangelista, and the Carter Eye Center. Both looked promising, but please remember I have never actually used their services, only read about the experiences of others.
If you make the decision to use the services of a LASIK surgeon in Dallas for your Dallas lasik surgery, please come back and let us know how they treated you.

As you are well aware, there are many LASIK surgeons in the Dallas area. The trick to having a successful LASIK treatment performed is to ensure you find a qualified and competent Dallas LASIK surgeon. Make no mistake that while many of the practitioners in your area will be qualified to perform the procedure, one must be wary of those fly by night doctors that put their personal gain ahead of the well-being of the patient.
During my typical Internet travels, I came across the Trusted LASIK Surgeons website. The sole purpose of this site is to provide a standard for the LASIK surgeons that they include in their directory. This is especially nice because they lay out guiding principles that they require each member of their directory to meet. What this means to you, the LASIK customer is that you can have a degree of assurance that if you find a Dallas LASIK surgeon that is included in this directory the odds are in your favor that they have both credibility and experience. Hopefully you can use this resource to find a LASIK surgeon in the Dallas area that will be able to help you.

After your examination with your ophthalmologist take time to think about the risks and benefits and read printed handouts. After you have had time to consider if you want to go forward with the surgery you will need to meet with your surgeon and sign a consent form.
The day of the surgery do not wear makeup, lotions or perfumes to prevent infection and also they may interfere with the function of the laser. Arrangements for transportation will need to be made to and from your ophthalmologist. You will not be allowed to drive home after surgery.
Lasik laser procedure will be done with first a microkeratome to create a corneal flap. After the flap is created the corneal thickness will be measured. After surgery it is important that you do not touch or rub your eye. Some symptoms that you may notice are light sensitivity, glare, haze or halos all of these will improve over a few days.
Vision may continue to improve over three to six months. In few cases there are complications as with dry eyes, optical halos or haze, and in rare cases regression in vision. There are no cases of blindness related to Lasik laser surgery.
Before they plunk down thousands per eye on Laser Lasik, Houston and Dallas consumers need to consult with a Houston or Dallas Lasik Surgeon to consider the various options available to them. The surgeon will be able to explain the complicated aspects of Lasik surgery in Houston or Dallas Texas, pre-operative and postoperative procedures, as well as what to realistically expect after the operation is over.
